K.Terengganu : 1,302 kertas undi pos diedar

Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya (SPR) telah mula mengedarkan 1,302 kertas undi pos bagi pilihan raya kecil Parlimen Kuala Terengganu 17 Jan ini. Pengarah Pilihan Raya negeri, Mohd Noor Daud memaklumkan 1,001 kertas undi dikeluarkan kepada polis, 27 anggota tentera, 7 pelajar di luar negara dan 267 kepada petugas pilihan raya. Polis akan mengundi di Ibu Pejabat Polis Kontinjen (IPK) negeri manakala tentera di 23 Skuadron Rejimen Askar Jurutera Diraja (RAJD) di Jalan Pusara. "Polis dan tentera telah mengambil kertas undi pos tersebut di pejabat Pengurus pilihan raya hari ini dan proses pengundian pada Isnin ini. Sebahagian kertas undi pos telah diserahkan kepada Pejabat Pos untuk dihantar kepada petugas-petugas pilihan raya dan pelajar di luar negara mengikut alamat yang diberikan," katanya. –Malaysia Today

Penang requesting RM500m aid from Fed Govt

Lim Guan Eng, the Chief Minister of Penang said that the state government is seeking some RM500 million from the Federal Government as aid for the next two years to help the people like retraining of workers and business opportunities. He said “I met with Datuk Seri Najib and he has agreed to provide the aid but he did not state the amount. In the state government budget announced last year, we allocated RM10mil to implement various programmes to assist workers. The work commissioner will liaise closely with the industries. We want closer coordination with them to assist in worker recruitment,”

DAP will pull out of Pakatan if Hudud laws are implemented

Karpal Singh, the chairman of DAP said that the party will pull out of the Pakatan Rakyat coalition if they implement Hudud Laws. He said “Of course, of course ... DAP would (pull out). We have to be consistent. We cannot sacrfice our principles at the expanse of public interest and at the expanse of what we have been saying along,”

K.Terengganu : Pilih calon PAS untuk perubahan – Azizan

Menteri Besar Kedah Azizan Abd Razak meminta pengundi Kuala Terengganu untuk memilih calon Pas Abdul Wahid Endut untuk menjadi wakil rakyat di kawasan itu. Beliau berharap mereka mengikut jejak perubahan oleh rakyat Amerika yang memilih Obama untuk menjadi Presiden. “Jika rakyat Amerika berani berubah, Malaysia bila lagi?” katanya.

“Rakyat kita mula menolak BN yang dilihat tidak mampu mengurus tadbir negara dengan baik setelah peluang 51 tahun diberi mandat memerintah dipersia-siakan oleh mereka,”tambahnya.
